1967 TR6C ORIGINAL MOTORCYCLE WITH LOW MILEAGE FOR 42 YEARS OLD. RUNS FLAWLESSLY HAS TR6R GAS TANK BECAUSE THAT IS THE WAY THE FIRST OWNER WANTED IT. HE BELIEVED THAT THE LARGER TANK WOULD GIVE HIM GREATER RANGE ON HIS ADVENTURES WITH THIS GREAT MOTORCYCLE. TR6C MODELS ARE VERY RARE BECAUSE MOST OF THEM WERE CAMPAIGNED ON THE RACE CIRCUIT AND AS A RESULT MOST WERE VERY ABUSED AND MODIFIED FOR SPECIFIC TYPE OF RACING. 1949 DOUGLASS MODEL "S" THIS IS ONE VERY RARE MOTORCYCLE. THE DOUGLAS COMPANY 1907-1957 ENGLAND WAS ONE OF THE PIONEERS OF THE FLAT TWIN CONFIGURATION BACK IN 1910 THIRTEEN YEARS BEFORE BMW. THEY CONTINUED TO EVOLVE AND IMPROVE UP UNTIL THE FAMED DOUGLASS DRAGONFLY. THIS EXAMPLE IS ORIGINAL EVEN WITH ORIGINAL PAINT AND DECALS SHOWING ON THE TANK. BOTH REAR CAST ALUMINUM REAR TOOL BOXES ARE THERE AND IN PRISTINE CONDITION. THE MOTORCYCLE TURNSOVER AND PROBABLY WILL RUN NICELY WITH A LITTLE COAXING. IT IS AN EXTREME EXAMPLE OF ENGINEERING WITH TORSION ARM SUSPENSION BOTH FRONT AND REAR. THE UPSWEPT EXHAUST MADE FOR THE SPORT MODELS FOR COMPETITION IN THE TT OF THE TRIALS EVENTS IS SOLID EVEN THOUGH RUSTED.
